Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Basmati Rice
  • 1.5 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Tur Dal
  • 1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Peas
  • 1 Tbsp(12.0 gm) Carrot (Chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion (Chopped)
  • 1 Tsp(2.0 gm) Garlic (Chopped)
  • 1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
  • 1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
  • 1/4 Tsp(0.74 gm) Hing
  • 1/8(0.03 gm) Cinnamon (Stick)
  • 2 No.(0.18 gm) Black Pepper
  • 1 No.(0.11 gm) Cloves
  • 1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt
  • 1 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Ghee
  • As Required(120.0 ml) Water

Methods:

  1. Melt 1 tbsp ghee in a pressure cooker and add 1/8 stick cinnamon, 2 black pepper, 1 clove, 1/4 tsp jeera and 1/4th tsp hing.
  2. Once the jeera starts crackling, add 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1.5 tbsp tur dal, 2 tbsp rice, 1 tsp chopped garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp chopped carrot, 1 tbsp fresh peas, 1/4 tsp haldi and sauté.
  3. Mix well and add a little water and cover the cooker.
  4. Pressure cook till 2 whistles and transfer to a serving bowl.
  5. Serve hot.
